Inshore Support Ltd.

Inshore Support Ltd currently provides comprehensive care packages in eight homes, withsupport from carers on an individual, usually a one to one basis.

Each home exists to provide a service that reflects the anticipations of the service users, identifying and fulfilling their individual needs by means which are valued by society, in order to develop and support individual and personal experiences and characteristics which are culturally valued and maintained.

Service users are offered a home for life, improving the opportunity of appropriate employment, education, recreation and leisure opportunities.

Guiding Philosophy
All homes are purposely purchased to be close to local amenities, to provide a permanent home for two/three people with learning disabilities who may also have an identified mental health need and/or behaviours which may challenge.

Inshore Support Ltd. offers homes to individuals over the age of eighteen years of age, in accommodation that is appropriately matched to age, gender, cultural background, personal interests and communication needs.

The principles of 'social role valorisation' guide the service provided, such a goal can only be achieved through the improvement of peoples social image. Social role valorisation is an extension of the principals of normalisation the use of means, which are valued in our society in order to develop and support personal behaviour, experiences and characteristics that are likewise valued

1. Community presence (everyone should live in ordinary communities and use local facilities)
2. Relationship/participation (everyone should be part of the community with a network of friends and family, some relationships will have deeper attachments)
3. Real choices (everyone should be offered choices and supported in making major as well as everyday decisions).
4. Status and respect (each individual should be helped and encouraged to present themselves in such a way that they promote their own self-esteem).
5. Real choices (everyone should be offered choices and supported in making major as well as everyday decisions).
